Do the new style nhxs RCBO's connect with flexible bus bars ok ?

I thought I read on here that they didn't ?

Thanks

What's a flexible busbar?
It's the wretched English language at work again. 'Flexible'='versatile' (not 'bendy') - it's what Wylex call their 'versatile' CUs and busbars (i.e.you can cut the busbars to give whatever combinatioon of RCD1, RCD2 and (if present) Main Switch circuits you want).

Kind Regards, John.

Oh right!! I had visions of some bizarre tri-rated links sort of an affair!

AFAIK the new seimens style RCBOs will fit both the current range, and the NSB type boards they replaced a couple of years ago.

Flexable, as in you can cut them off to a length that suits you.

To have a flexable amount of MCB on one RCD and rest on the other side.

Wylex have two methods of connecting to the bus bar though.

A hole for a flexiable bus bar prong
or screw head thing for a U shaped bus bar to grip round.

Just wondered if the new style devices had only one connection method.

Yes I confirm that the new wylex RCBOs will fit both pronged busbars and U slotted busbars.

The very first ones didn't have the slots in the side for the U slot stuff but they quickly rectified this.

Well to answer my own question

I purchased a new style nhxs rcbo, and yes they still have the two different connection methods, however when fitted next to an old style rcbo they do not line up.

There appears to be a problem in two dimmensions.

Maybe the same problem occours with the new style mcb's
