Leak at blanking plug Stelrad Radiator

I want to try wrapping some PTFE tape round the threads to stop a slight leak.The rad is last in line so has a bleed valve at either side( ie no thermostatic valve)Best way to proceed please ,without needing chest waders? Thanks javascript:emoticon('

turn the rad valves off or do it really quick!

try undoing 2/3 wind on ptfe and tighten
50/50% chance off working

Turn off the valves.

Get some old towels for any small spills, a small tub to catch water.

Undo bleed nipple to relieve pressure, catch water in tub.

Unscrew vent plug ,clean, apply ptfe, refit, open valves, job done

Use loctite55 instead of ptfe
