Any suggestions for this problem lads.........

Security light with attached PIR picks up the heat/fumes/smoke from the boiler exhaust.
It's one of three, but this particular one is really hard to explain the circumstances and position of, so I wont ! Suffice to say moving it isn't the answer !

What i'm after is a different type of sensor to wire into existing light.
Can a sender-receiver, beam/reflector type sensor be wired into existing light fitting.???
If so.... any recommendations.????

Thanks.

Thanks mate,
Yeah that was the type of thing I was thinking of, but more basic less range version. This particular light only has to protect an external door and gate area.

But can I wire it into the PIR circuit of existing light ?? Same wiring config is what I mean ?

Anyway, that seems to be the way to go. Cheers Alarm.

No you would need a relay. To switch the mains.
The basic beams are about 75 quid.

Did warn they were expensive.

Actually might be able to get my hands on a set (2nd hand) in the near future. If I do i`ll PM you. These ones are the 200 quid puppies :D
Like I said "might".
