FIXING UPVC DOOR HANDLE

Can anyone give advice on fixing a handle on a upvc door which has gone "limp" for want of a better word. Seems as if a spring of some sort has gone. Is it fixable and within the scope of a diy'er? Any help would be most welcome.

Could try taking it off yourself and seeing how it works. If your patient and good with fiddly stuff you might be able to fix it?

I fixed a 'loose' window handle by taking it to bits, you'll need a selection of screwdrivers and maybe some allen keys too. At the end of the day if you wreck it at least it'll be off and you can take it to a supplier and ask for a new one.
