Was curious to know what i`d need to get the "owd dear" back up an runnin. As it stands there`s no grate etc, all thats visible is the original firebricks (don`t know if thats the rightr name for em)It seems ashame to do away with a victorian item like this,the measurements are- 15x8x33(inches)thats the size of the inset(thingy)Any help appreciated

Good to see someone values heritage. Can you post a picture? An architectural salvage yard may be able to help.
 
would it not be worth putting a smoke pellet in there or similar to see is it blocked

Its had smoke pellets o plenty, our first worries were that it`d need a liner but, fingers crossed so far so good, was wondering if it might be worth getting a fire going just to see if there`s any leaks. Is it worth it or are the pellets a good enough test :?:Masona wot cowboy if yer on about the pic on the telly its "carry on campin" couldn`t get up to the van this weekend so i had to stick it on LOL :LOL:
