when fitting a new Upvc door frame and panel I have heard that you should pack the cill on the hinge side by 5mm to counter the weight of the door glass. Is this correct? icon_lol.gif

The UPVC door frame & cill should be level. If the door panel is out of square then you put the packing at the bottom of the glass or panel section to the door frame panel. Not sure if this is the answer you're looking for.

You have to " toe and heel " the panel which means that you pack the panel at opposing corners in order to brace the door and stop it dropping .If you need to know more I will try to find a website that can show you how it's done.

Just noticed the post above about Plastic Doors. That should answer your query.
