I have an old lead pipe i have discovered going from the kitchen up into the bathroom, this is leaking and although i have not yet ripped the units out to see where the pipe is coming from, will it be easier to rip the whole thing out from source and replace, if so can i replace with speedfit pipes 15mm or 22mm or do i have to use copper?

Replace with Speedfit...and IF it`s the main in from the road in lead, consider replacing it too :( The underground blue MDPE is cheap enough,it`s the labour that`s a bugger.. Your water supply co has responsibility for stop valve in the pavement..call them to repair it if it doesnt turn off.Good Luck
