Does anyone know a way of cleaning floor boards (pine 120 yrs old, dirty, not painted or anything) other than sanding them? |

Lots of elbow grease
Try different materials in corners or where furniture will stand to find the right stuff. You could try: white spirit, polish remover, steel woll 0000, methalated spirits, soft soap, etc, etc. __________________ You buy quality, we'll advise. You buy rubbish, we won't!

Yup, that's right.. nothing beats good old-fashioned elbow grease... of course I get a little help every now and then with hardwood cleaning products..MicroPlus has a hardwood floor kit that's somewhere in the range of $35. I've also tried Bona's hardwood floor cleaner and refresher..cheap and good. Got it all from the internet (try ifloor.com or floorshop.com or you could try one in UK - ifloor.co.uk). |
