Downlighters

I have two existing lights in kitchen on separate on off switches. Want to replace each light with 6 downlighters, will i need to use a transformer.

depends on the down lighters you choose.

Most do require a transformer, and most of those that do it comes in the box, if you intend using a dimmer switch get a set with a dimmable transformer (other wise it won't work) you can get a set of 3 low voltage with dimmable transformer for £9.99.

One other thing, do your self a favour, BEFORE you take your existing lights down, label each wire and make a drawing, it will save lots of problems later
