I have just wired my shower the wrong way live to neutral, neutral to live

Ive replaced the shower and the isolating switch but when i now turn the shower on the RCD blows but the not the MCB

Could i have blown one of them

Getting phase an neutral the wrong way round won't have damaged it, as for the RCD tripping, check you have the neutral in the right neutral block in the CU

Thanks for quick reply

I never did any work in the cu as the shower was just a replacement but i have noticed the MCB is 32A should i upgrade to 45A
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Sorry the shower is 8.5Kw on 6mm cable through a 45A isolating switch

If the RCD is tripping then you've probably introduced a N/E fault somewhere - reversing Live & Neutral will not cause anything to trip.

32A is too small for an 8.5kW shower, but 45A might be too big for 6mm² cable - do you know where it runs, and if it's grouped with any others, or in conduit or insulation anywhere?
