Graphics Card/ Motherboard compatabilty

Need some advice,,

currently have * Asrock AM2+ N68C-S UCC mATX Motherboard
with geforce 7600 graphics card....

card is PCI Express... which has died a death... i want to replace the card and noticed that this card is kinda old hat...

need some advice as too which card to get which will work with the above board... not looking to spend alot of money.

i noticed when searching loads of different nvidia series cards,, 8000,,, 430--590..

looking through most say PCI-E 16 slot,, version 2.0...

i dont know which card is best to get for good value.. anything near to the standard as the geforce 7600 would be fine...

the most intensive thing i do is play counterstrike source,,,LOL... the geforce 7600 handled it well..
