Stairs Help

We have wood stairs and they are splintering and I am wanting to fix them, but I dont know how. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean by splintering,is it the thread,riser or open riser problem,wood tearing or splitting etc ? Need more info.......

you know how wood can give you splenters? Thats what I mean. I dont know if that makes sense.

It sounds like damaged treads to me. Sand them down with a hand held belt sander. That might work... Or wear shoes...
