Looking for a way to test moisture level in 35 year old concrete floor before laying solid wood floor covering.

I've found all kinds of moisture test meters, but they range from £5 to £500 and some seem designed more for wood.

Which brand and model? -- I assume I can buy one, use it and then sell on ebay...

thanks

Try all your local hire shops and they will show you how to use it.

Sorry i can't help more i have my own and even a back up so never hired one!

You could do it the old school way: unpack a pack of Rich Tea biscuits and stack them one on top of another on the floor you want to measure. Leave them over night.

In the morning if two biscuits are soggy you two biscuit floor, if three then you have a three biscuit floor etc.

If you have no biscuits there, you have a dog.

It was, but subject to new European laws from Brussels you now have to waffles.

Ridiculous, whoever measured a wall in Waffles.
