Hi,

What is the difference between the two primer?

I have to pain the following:

1) old white gloss painted wood which shows signs of nicotine

2) lining paper gaps filled with filler

Would either of those products work for both?

thanks

With regards to the nicotine stained skirts you could just wash with sugar soap and sand down then apply an oil undercoat or if you wish on using a zinsser product and not wash down you could try zinsser coverstain.

For the filler just use a thinned matt emulsion to prime before carrying on with the top layers.

Hi there

I've only just recently heard about Zinsser products and have not used any yet. However, I have made a couple of posts asking for suggestions on how to prime/undercoat woodwork that was previously varnished. Zinsser is def the brand that is recommended the most, but I'm getting really mixed opinions on whether to use Coverstain, BIN, or Bullseye 1.2.3.

Don't know if that helps or hinders, but thought I would share it with you

Cheers

Max
