Horizontal Fencing
Reply with quote Thanks

i am building a double sided horizontal fencing between myself and my neighbour, the posts are 4" slats6" and the height of fence is to be 5ft 8. i have tried using 3" gaps between each slat, which looks ok from my garden, but from my neighbours there are gaps.
Does anyone have any suggestions, so that i don't have any gaps, or to minimize them to keep my neighbour happy...

thanks

Not sure what you mean, shouldn't the gap be the same on both side?

If you had a vertical picket fence, would it not be a ladder? icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

Yes, close board or lap instead or rails.

HIT n MISS FENCE

icon_eek.gif icon_rolleyes.gif sounds like you need a hit and miss fence;ie, where the palings on your side leave a gap on your neighbours side simply add a paling on the neighbours side, gives privacy strength and the wind will escape freely hence your fence will be secure in strong winds icon_idea.gif

Actually, it isn't - the rule numbers go from 9 to 12 (no 10 or 11)
