Should I put my brass candle sticks in the Freezer for a few minutes to harden the wax? Of course, the brass is a cold metal anyhow. If I just scrape with a knife, I might scratch the surface. Also, I have a few drops of wax on my antique oak dining table - how do I remove them - can anyone advise ?? I look forward to your replies...

Try a hairdryer to soften it, then wipe it off.

brown paper over the wax and then soften it till it melts, paper will soak it up and hey presto (whats a magician got to do with it?)
