I have a bed reading lamp which has a switch on its base. It is very difficult to reach, so I want to fit a flex switch halfway along the flex. What is the wiring patterrn I should use? Have you got a diagram of any kind to illustrate.

Hoping for an early reply.

Once you've bought the switch, it will be obvious. They are usually double pole thus avoiding any complications of having to worry about anything except keeping the same colours on each side, and with an earth terminal if you have 2-core flex.
