Is there any hope for my favorite pair of jeans that I dropped some of the bottle of hair dye on, and then tried different remedies to get the stain out? The stain is almost gone, but you can still see the dye on the pants faintly, which is set in after washing. |

You are hosed. Try Hair spray loike vitalis - It works on ink. |

I managed to get some set in dye out of draperies (rayon blend?--don't know anymore what they are, I just wash them gently in the machine) by using acetone and a tooth brush and a bit of elbow grease. This dye has been in there for about two weeks now. Wash carefully in the sink and be careful to get all of the solvent out before you wash in the machine. Good luck. |
