Hi guys,

Ive got a bit of pipe i want to weigh in along with a cylinder and some brass taps ond fittings. Im sure i read somewhere that cutting off the copper fittings on pipe gives you a better price, is this true? and if so, how much more per kg am i likely to get as its got to be worth the effort

also, do you think its a good time to sell or should i hold out a little longer?

thanx guys

Clean metals will comand a better price than dirty metals but for the time taken its not worth the bother imo

Cut your cylinder in half. Most scrappies are paying a standard price now per cyl (as they are paid a price for the cylinders they sell on). You cut it, its weighed in as scrap copper. You'll get a few more quid that way. Take all the brass off too.
