had a whistleing noise from my boiler. corgi plumber adjusted gas/air ratio. Now have a "trumpet" noise which last for 20 mins, this starts as the burner cuts in. Anyone know what this is and how to solve.

yes the air / gas mixture is incorrect by the sound of it, why was it adjusted in the first place?

ollski.
reason for altering pressure first was that the boiler was whistleing. it now as the trumpet noise

sounds like you need someone who knows how to set a pre-mix burner up correctly  using a differential digital manometer
only manafacturers should be doing this as the correct setting isnt actually stated anywhere to stop people messing bout with it

could try potterton as we brought the powermax range a few years ago on 08706 096096 we do fixed price call outs which range from £170 depending on age of boiler
