Could someone advise me what to prome newlly skimmed walls with.

Yes.....very ordinary emulsion!

You dont need to bugger about with special primers..if the walls are thick plaster and new then you'l need contract emulsion to allow the surface to breathe

Thin the first one by about 40%

Rub the wall down..lightly

Thin the next coat by about 20%

Full coat to finish

if its just a skim vinyl matt is fine......dont use silk

Hi there
The plaster is over plasterboard and a thin coat.
Does the percentages over watered emulsion still apply?
Thanks

Yep..

But i meant to mention earlier...those percentages only stand for decent brands of emulsion.....if you buy bargin buckets of cheap stuff then no....only thin by about 10%
