Myson radiator thermostat sticking

Hi, could anyone help, I've recently refitted a radiator after decorating and the thermostat is stuck not letting any heat into the radiator. What can I do to free it?

try banging valve with a light hammer or wiggle trv pin under valve head with a set of pliers, but gently as you dont want any leaks, when free spray pin with wd40
