hi guys ----running new cables in for cooker , shower etc , as we dont know the ratings of either yet -ie still in shop , is it ok to fun 10 mm for shower + 6 mm for cooker even if it turns out it does not need that size , in other words will it matter if the calbe is to big ? thanks |

Of course.
Actually, I did exaggerate about size.
Sometimes it can be too big - wouldn't fancy wiring ceiling roses in 2.5mm˛, and you couldn't physically get anything bigger than that in.
But shower circuits in 10mm˛ (or 16mm˛  ), and cookers in 6/10mm˛ even if the loads don't need it are OK. __________________ I mustn't warn people that the "experts" on the plumbing forum can't be trusted to tell the truth. |
