Hi
I am cutting 60x30 cm porcelain tiles to make a border ,what I would like to do is smooth the rough edge with a slight shamper. What is the best method?
Or is there a tool.
not sure what you mean
a cut tile should not be exposed
it should be covered by an edging or back onto a corner or other tile so not an exposed cut as you cannot finish a cut tile to A l finish
ok reading your comments again
you cannot produce a finished edge[chamfer] on a cut tile as its glazed or hardened so not an option that will work
you could try and place all the cut edges underneath
this may give it half a chance off working but suspect it will look--- well ---not good
What you need is Rubi Rubbing block which can polish a tile edge perfectly for what you are trying to achieve
We normally use these or monolit but they are too expensive for Diyers ,you can smooth edges of tiles or even take a bit off them for anywhere where you need to create clean edges after using an electric cutter
