Hi
I am off to usa and was thinking of buying some 18v tools mainly Makita
As I already have batteries,my question is will they still work over here as I read somewhere the current or something like that is different,

So long as the battery chargers are rated at 250v / 50Hz there won't be a problem.....but I do think that 110v is common over there?
John :)

So if I bought body only over there and used my own batteries and charger will that work?,

An 18v battery is an 18v battery really......so long as they physically fit both your charger and the tool I can't see an issue with that.
John :)

Thanks, that s what I thought, just good to get it confirmed

You might find the chargers are universal input. Can't hurt to look.
