I need to resite a sink and have to go through 6 joists to do so, the drill and hole cutter will not fit inbetween the joists is there a special tool or way round this please ?

Cut notches out of the top of the joist using something like this and a chisel;

Building regs (on line) stop you notching any joist near its end, then there are limits on how deep you can go anywhere else. Common sense has to prevail.
