Hi all,
This morn the boiler stopped heating anything, radiators or water. I have a \\\"potterton profile boiler \\\" the system has a tank in the attic, and cylinder in the cupboard. This morn it started to click and the pilot tries to start start up but then cuts off and momentarily starts the burners. This happens about every second or two.
Can anyone suggest what may be wrong?

When was it last serviced?

Possible pilot blockage causing pilot flame to be 'pulled away' from rectification device when main burner lights.

See post of why flame rectification works.

Never rule out the unreliable pcb's on this boiler if you can test them properly. More likely to be fan or aps as initially said though

Good boilers when they are looked after.
