I have recently purchased a 1930's lower cottage flat which has a back boiler. Now that the colder weather is here I turned on my central heating however the radiators are pretty much freezing cold. The system is also pretty noisy when you turn the thermostat up on the wall past 20 degrees. The system looks like its pretty much past it however can anybody suggest what I can do as a temp measure to get more heat into the radiators. My girlfriend is due a baby in the next 4 weeks and the house is freezing cold. The hot water which comes out of the taps is piping hot. I have a hot water cylinder in airing cupboard & an immersion. Sorry, not very technically minded. Please HELP!!

Only real suggestion - get it looked at quickly !

The last thing you need is a small baby at home and no heating!
