Redundant radiator pipes?

The plan is to remove a non-load bearing wall between our hallway and living room . Removing the wall shouldn't be a problem.
I have a radiator attached to the wall on the hallway side. This also I can remove.
The problem I have is what to do with the extruding radiator pipes from the floor. The floor has been parque tiles over the concrete. Surely there would be a channel in the concrete where the pipes run from the boiler. Or would the pipes be set in the concrete?
What I need to do is cap off these pipes level with the concrete so that I can lay a more modern wooden floor over the top of the parque.
Any advice would be a help on how to tackle these pipes.
