Hi,
I have had a noisy fan (metal tapping sound) for about a month. Now the boiler will not light and the fan is banging now.
Its knocking from the pipe that exits the boiler out to the street vent, so im sure its the fan.

Is the fan replaceable, and what would the likley cost be to replace myself, or would a heating engineer best fit it.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards

Dave

An engineer has come to replace the fan, but the one he has got is freestanding? but on my boilerthe fan is on top in a pipe.

Has he bought the wrong part?

Where can i get a copy of the handbook for this boiler model?

Thanks

Cheers matey :D ,

The engineer has now replaced the fan, (he was worried he has bought the wrong one).

All working now :D :D .

The engineer has advised me that a German company has bought Myson. and therefore stopped making spares :( .. so the ones that are available have increased in price dramatically.

Just hope i get another 10 years out if her.

Kind regards

Dave
