Parkray - possible leak...

Hi,

I have just noticed a wet patch to the front left of my Parkray Consort 88 room heater which runs my central heating..

Can I add something to the header tank to stop this, or do I need a plumber/heating engineer... or is this a sign that the Parkray is on the way out? Next-door neighbour's Parkray split, but this is just a trickle I reckon.

Christmas eve the fridge died; Christmas day the c/h pump died; Boxing day I sat on my specs and broke an arm (on the specs); New Year's Eve got a leak in the c/w tank in the loft... getting a bit expensive!!!

Hey mate s h1 t happens Im a gas engineer & our gas tumble dryer stopped 2 days before christmas. pulled in a favor got a new bit from a mate who rebuilds motors & boxing day the pcb went down. its goin. You could try leaksealer as a temp fix but sloid fuel is agresive & it may not stand up to it verry long. I think the boilers ar steel jackets & if its pin holed its terminal i'd say.

Let this be a warning to you all. DO NOT GET ON A PLANE WITH THIS MAN! Lost??

When it`s replaced...add fernox...30 years and counting on the one I installed in Dad`s old house
