removing existing dishwasher

i have installed in my kitchen an old dishwasher which remains connected to the water mains.I have two isolator valves connected to the mains , but the one connected to the dishwasher has a broken valve. How would i go about disconnecting this to disconnect the old machine and instal the new one safely

If just the plastic tab, use a spanner on the spindle.
Otherwse you have to turn off/empty the taps supply, or freeze it.
