I have a Potterton 80 combi boiler and it has stopped working. I called British Gas and their engineer came in to say a PCB has blown up and he would come back with necessary parts. Now I have been told that they cant get the part till 24th, which is 2 weeks from now. How do I find out what part is it so that I can try to find out availability from other suppliers.

Thanks very much.

this can be repaired if you have some electrical knowledge and common sense.
How much of the pcb is damaged any photo possible.solder side.
I have only replaced a handful of these pcbs i usually repair them being doing that for 6 years now, these are on my own contracts, serviced once a year by me and never any other pcb burning pin faults.
