I have had this whirlpool washer just over 12 months, it is a AWM 1004/4. It has suddenly stopped working, all that happens is that timer knob clicks round, pauses occasionally, then continues clicking round without coming to an end. It does not spin, fill or drain at any point, except once when it began to drain briefly then stopped and continued to click round.
I would appreciate any help or advice, spares outlets if required. Thanks in advance.

I thought I had to change timer for this but that was going to cost me £115 = VAT just for part. When I checked down to component level on Timer PCB I found that a 24v 1.3W Zener (dz1) had gone short and not taken anything out with it. I have replaced this and it seems to be working okay.
Part no.BZX85C24 from CPC, order code SC05737.
Hope this helps anyone else with same problem.
