I have a mixer tap in my bathroom sink. It is a ceramic tap. Unfortunately, the tap handle has broken off and it does not turn the valve anymore. The basin is sunk into a tiled counter. Is there a way to remove the tap from above or will the tiles need to be removed to gain access from underneath the sink? Would appreciate some advice.

Who ever built the counter top should have built in an access panel, if they were any good that is. Check for siliconed areas or screw holes that may give you a clue. A photo of the fitting may help, the decription is a bit vague and there are hundreds out there.

u sould be able to reach under the tap...no ?
or is it tiles all the way round...ie top and front etc
