My heater fan has packed in. reading forums, I educed it is the rheostat which I purchased. However, having got to the old one, the connection plug has melted (I did suffer a burning smell before it died completely). According to the maon dealer, I cannot get a repair kit for that particular unit and would have to buy a complete wiring harness, which is expensive. I can cut the wires and use crimped connectors to connect directly. So I have 2 problems.
1- I bought some connectors from Wilco, but am worried they are not heavy enough - what should be the min. rating?
2 - I cannot easily identify which wire should go where. is there a iagram available?
