Problem: Machine runs through initial wash cycle OK then does not re-fill during rinse cycle. Program stalls and machine heats up heating elements until glowing red (with no water in).

I have checked all inlet/outlet pipes. I have tried - as suggested in a earlier post - cleaning the syphons with no luck.

Any other suggestions most appreciated.

You have a problem with the pressure system. It thinks it's still full of water. Either blockage in the pressure tubes or faulty pressure switch.

Unplug your appliance before working on it.

Many thanks for your prompt reply!

Could I ask if you know wether this is an economical repair job or not?, any sort of 'guestimate' on parts prices?

With a new machine coming in at around £200 (Beko from Argos) it's getting borderline with anything around the £100 mark for repairs wether it is worth it or not.

Remember, you get what you pay for.
You'd have to contact a local repairer to get an idea of repair prices.
