Tiling

We have a fibreglass tray in our shower and wish to tile it. Could you tell if this can be done and if so what kind of materials (i.e grout) I would need, and what preperation I would have to do

Sounds like a dodgy idea to me.
I think you might find that there's too much flex in a fibre glass tray to tile it sucessfully so that it lasts more than a few weeks.
