WE HAVE MICROBORE SYSTEM. THE PUMP ON THE BACK BOILER IS NEW. THERE HAS BEEN LOTS OF BANGING AND RATTLING AND GURGLING FROM THE PIPES NEAR THE BACK BOILER DOWNSTAIRS. WE HAVE HEAT FROM THE RADIATOR IN ONE OF THE THREE BEDROOMS, NO HEAT IN THE RADIATOR IN BATHROOM, ONE RADIATOR OF THE TWO IN CONSERVATORY IS HOT, KITCHEN RADIATOR IS HOT, LOUNGE IS WARM AND HALL HOT AND DOWNSTAIRS TOILET IS HOT. WE HAVE BLED ALL DRAINED ALL AND STILL NO DIFFERENT. WHAT CAN BE WRONG?

Has the system been completely drained? if so, did it fill up again properly?

 :p we seem to be getting some heat back to some of the cooler rads as all we keep doing is letting air out and bleeding them. will this eventually get all the rads back to being hot? :?:

Never mind the spheres .....This is the *** Pistols ;) If air keeps coming out as you bleed ..then yes, probably the rads will work eventually.......some people here think microbore is ok.

Is the pump the correct way around?
I suggest you stop the system, then bleed all the rads. Start it up again on minimum speed, increasing to medium speed after a few seconds, then turn off all the rads which work. Does this make any of the remaining rads work?
Stop the system when hot, re-bleed the rads, and try again.

Generally speaking microbore needs higher pump speeds than conventional smallbore, so if your pump is installed the wrong way around it will suck in air and the problem will continue.

More info required to determine whether it was installed pump on the flow or pump on the return.

So who actually likes microbore? Ugly, never straight pipes which dent easily, are prone to blockages and airlocks, and have high pressure drops. Not me!
