What is the best thing to do regarding tiling?
Is it better to tile first then fit the bath ? Or recess the wall slightly fit the bath, then tile and seal ? Any other comments would be gratefully received. thanks

Fit bath, silicon seal round the bath between wall and acrylic, then tile down on top of the silicon then silicon between the tile and the bath. Make sure everything is dry at each stage of the sealing process.

make sure that ur walls are square as if they are seriously out even the 10mm or so of adhesive and tile will not cope with having to put a thin to thick bead of final sealnt around the bath perimeter. if you are gonna chase out sum of the plaster to rebate the bath into the wall abit make sure that it will not hinder operation of the taps if you intend to locate them adjacent to a wall. sum baths fix to the wall using "L" brackets (usually have a timber subframe) so if you tile first you must leave sum off to fix bath to wall then cover with tiles.

personally id fit bath 1st ... making sure its flush with wall... If wall is pi£$"d chase out a little. peel back sum of the protective film and stick in a loada sealant before tightening fixings. protect bath as youll probably av to step into it to tile (nless u r 8 foot tall).. make sure that you put spacers between the bath and the first course of tiles so that you can get summore sealant in after you have grouted.... tip fill bath then apply final sealant wait till sealant cures b4 emptying bath,,,, there will innevitably be a little flex and this allows the sealant to flex too.
