Our pump is set to speed 3 in a 3 bed semi house. Does this sound ok? If I lower the speed to 2 the heating seems to take quite a bit longer to reach temperature.

 No, you`d recognise my sarcasm ;) Mostly installers set to 2 when new...actually it`s common knowledge to us plumbers.but not necisarily to anyone else  When pumps get old their pumping power can reduce due to not spinning as fast as they should on a given setting.........so 3 may aproximate to the power @ 2 when new.
