I've just had Drayton TRVs on my radiators replaced by Mistral 10 NP bi-directional valves (made by Yorkshire Fittings).

I now have mistral blowing through my valves . Seriously, they are noisy and I would like to hear from anybody who has or has had the same make of valves and experienced a similar problem.

I am curious whether mine is an isolated case and I was simply unlucky or whether there is a general design/ material element to these controls. (the old control heads were made from metal, these are plastic etc.).

Perhaps, I've simply changed a BMW for a bicycle? :( :(

Sorry, ... kind of.... but this one is really about the quality of the valves themselves. I am simply curious whether some valves, due to their design and material are more noisy than the other, independently of any other factors in the central heating system.
