Hi was wondering if someone could offer a little help?

At the moment i have a spur double socket running from a ring double, i done this last year.

Now what i need to do is run a heater in the room but keep the double in place aswell as isolate the heater if required, is this what i need to do?

DS (ring) -> S/FCU (13a) -> DS

now is i used a switched fcu so i can isolate the heater will this also switch off the DS supply aswell?

So would this be better

DS (ring) -> FCU (13a) -> DS -> S/FCU

The Switched FCU will then isolate the heater or is there a easier way to do this?

The only problem is the heater will be placed where the FCU will be so if i do put the Switched FCU at the end i will need to run more cable.

The ideal solution is to put both the double socket and FCU on the ring, but if thats not possible, then

DS (ring) -> FCU (13a) -> DS -> S/FCU
sounds ok as long as the DS is not expected to supply heavy loads
