I'm installing a bathroom extractor fan with light - but the fan needs to run whenever the light is on. i would like the extractor fan light to come on with the other bathroom lights which will be operated on a dimmer switch. Question - is there a single switch which will do this i.e when switched sends out a live which is variable for the lights and a live for the fan which is constant ??

Not that I know of.

You could use a DP switch before the dimmer with permanent live to both supply terminals, and then take one switched live to the dimmer for the lights, and the other switched live straight to the fan.

The fact that you only want the fan to come on with the lights implies to me that there is no natural light in this room, i.e. nobody can use it without turning on the lights, so why not use a PIR to switch the fan?

To be honest i was only tying to make the lighting more even in the room - no dark corners. Sounds like it would be easier to wire 4 of the lights through a dimmer and wire the extractor fan / light via a separate pull switch..... Thanks for taking the time to reply.
