I have a radiator that has recently stopped working. I have read the other comments and here is my own situation:
1. the radiator is cold
2. the inlet and outlet pipes are cold
3. it has a thermostatic valve
4. all the other radiators in the house are hot

Am I right in thinking this implies there is a blockage in the pipe between the boiler and the radiator?
What is the best way of finding out if this is true?
Thanks for your help.

Try taking the white plastic thermostat bit off the thermostatic valve you should see a brass coloured pin. Make sure this moves up and down freely. Sometimes they stick closed.

I have had same syptoms and that was the solution gentle(!) tapping with a hammer freed the pin now all is fine

Could be an air lock. Try turning OFF most or all of the other rads - that will push it out so you can bleed it from the radiator.
