I have a double wall socket, but a requirement for plugging in a fridge freezer, electric oven and gas hob ignitor. Would it be ok to run a dbl extension lead from one of the sockets for oven & gas hob, leaving a socket free for fridge?
You see all sorts of really cheap extensions which I don\\\'t trust- are there safe recommended ones?

The oven is the heaviest load so ought to go straight to the socket in the wall if you have any choice.
The gas hob igniter is trivial load so can go through an extension with ease.
The fridge is fairly low load so can go through an extension if necessary.
Does you kitchen not have a connector for an electric cooker?
A kitchen with a shortage of electrical outlets does not sound satisfactory - is it an old house or flat with an out-of-date or budget installation? |
