Which Cooker do I choose

Should I avoid a Smeg cooker? I get the feeling they are all show and not very reliable.

I could be wrong but before I invest in one (will need at least 6 burners and preferably 2 ovens) would like some honest opinions.

Smeg is ok quality. It's no better or worse than anything of comparable price.
I've got an 8 burner two oven and seperate grill Belling. One oven is fan assisted, other is convection only. It's been in for nearly two years and (touch wood) no problems.

Thank you for your post Sleephead. I've not looked at Belling but will look it up next time. A few good friends have advised that part of the Smeg price tag is just the name ....
