The water coming out of the hot taps both in the kitchen & bathroom is only lukewarm, whereas the miras shower has red hot water coming out as it should. All take water from the same hot water storage tank which is always full of hot water. How can this be?

No it's not an electric shower. It's supplied from the hot water tank via a mixer. That is what makes it all so strange, the hot water going to the shower is hot as it should be but the hot taps in the kitchen & bathroom (sink & bath ) the hot water is only just warm, yet they are all supplied from the same tank! Please help!

You can't just 'lose' hot water. If you've been doing DIY plumbing I'd suggest you check it. Hot water + cold water = warm water.

I take it that your cold water is fed from the same source as the hot? Not mains pressure is it?

HAS THIS STARTED SINCE ANY PLUMBING WORK CARRIED OUT? COULD BE YOU HAVE FAULTY NONE RETURN VALVES IN SHOWER

gg has got it - cold mixes with the hot in internally-leaky mixers.
Is the cold to the shower mixer off the mains, by the way?

Isolate both supplies to the shower using the isolating valves and then we expect your hot water to be hot again at the other outlets!

Leaking cold into hot pipes makes the hot water warm!
