Lead Flashing

Had new roof installed which contained a valley between two roofs. Builder used lead strip which was not wide enough resulting in water rising over lead and penetrating roof.To replace is big job as valley is very long.Is there any way I can fix another lead strip to existing and how might joint be sealed.

Seems to me that you could reasonably take this up with the builder who installed your roof. Most reputable firms stand over their work and would put right a basic error such as this.
