I've got 22mm copper pipework on my system - all surface mounted and it obviously looks less than great! A few questions to you clever people:
1) Can I change to 15mm, and if so does it have to be the whole system
2) Is 15mm plastic piping just as good
3) Is there a good way of masking the existing pipes at skirting board level (other than a simple box) - eg a curved preformed section?
Many thanks for any help offered on these points!

Its impossible to answer yor question from what you have said so far.

Simply 22 mm is needed to feed more than three rads. Each rad can be fed with 15 mm. Last three can be fed with 15 mm.

Its very unusual to have everything in 22 mm so I suspect you may need professional advice.

Above does not apply to single pipe systems or necessarily if they are high water content rads like some cast iron types or any other peculiarities.
